Why We Chose A Portuguese Water Dog
When we
began our search for what was to be the newest member of our family. We
researched breed after breed. There were so many intriguing breeds and
adorable puppies it was an amazingly difficult decision. Finally we agreed
that Eldon needed a non-shedding breed, Stacie wanted a dog that would
be fun and loving, Brandon insisted on a dog that would play ball and
fetch, and all of us desired a dog that would share our love of water
activities. There were two breeds that met these criteria, a standard
poodle and a Portuguese water dog. Brandon, who was 16 at the time, didn't
feel like a poodle was enough of a "man's dog". So, it was decided.
We would get a PWD.
